All competitors will use the default squad. You can change your team line-ups and bench, but there is no using players from outside the 30-man default squad. No memory cards with edited teams are permitted.
1.1 For quarter-final, semi-finals, and final only: competitors may choose to replace 1 player from the 30-man default squad for another eligible player not in the default squad, e.g. Umaga into the All Blacks.
Substitutions can be made at half-time only.
All games to be played on Elite difficulty.
All games will have advanced line-outs.
All games will have offloads set to simulation.
No pausing the game unless it is an emergency.
Rapidly changing direction or ‘swerving’ is permitted. It’s a game, not real life - learn to be patient on defence.
If there is an overlap on the blindside from a scrum, you can take that if you wish.
Flip a coin each game. Winner to decide stadium and wind strength.
If both players want to play as the same team, then a coin flip will occur to decide who uses their preferred team.
Camera angle. If your opponent prefers a different camera angle than you, a coin flip will occur. The winner of the coin clip can decide if they use their preferred camera angle in the first half or second half.
All pool matches to be 5-minute halves. Three games - winner is the best of three.
Play-offs (quarter, semi, and final) will be 1 game only, 10-minute halves.
If a draw occurs, play will continue for a 5-minute half (considered extra time) in a new game to decide the winner. If still no winner, then there will be trip down to Hoon Hay Park for a placekicking kick-off.

The televisions chosen will be tested to ensure they have a low input lag (ideally 25.0ms or less)
All output from PlayStation 2 will be via high quality component cables or an HDMI-adapter (Bitfunx/Kaico Labs) that outputs YPbPr. Composite will not be used.
